What do you hold today?
Entry to the BA (Hons) Business Management top-up is based on a Level 5 diploma in business or equivalent, with work experience taken into account.
English: if your previous study was taught in English, you will not need a test. Otherwise IELTS 6.0 or equivalent.
One year. Six modules. No exams.
The final year of the BA. Six modules, each marked on reports, case studies and presentations. No exam hall, no dissertation.

What does “top-up” actually mean?
The final year of a bachelor’s degree, on its own. Your Level 5 diploma counts as the first two years, so you join at year three and graduate with the full BA (Hons).
Is it a real degree?
Yes. A BA (Hons) Business Management from Arden University, a UK university. The award is Arden’s own, and carries no note of where the earlier years were done.
Do I need to sit exams?
No. There are no exams and no dissertation on this course. Assessment is through reports, case-study analyses, presentations and assignments.
How long does it take?
About a year of part-time study, and you have up to three years.
My diploma is not in business. Can I still apply?
Possibly. Arden looks at applications case by case, and weighs work experience alongside what you hold. Tell us what you hold and you get a straight answer.
Do I need an English test?
Not if your previous study was taught in English. If it was not, Arden asks for IELTS 6.0 with no element below 5.5, or an equivalent.
