What does “top-up” actually mean?

The final stage of the MBA, on its own. Your Level 7 postgraduate diploma covers the taught modules, so you join for the capstone and graduate with the full MBA.

Is it a real MBA?

Yes. A full MBA from Arden University, a UK university. Same certificate as someone who did the whole programme there.

Is there a dissertation?

The capstone is a substantial piece of research on a management issue of your choice, assessed alongside case studies and proposals. There are no exams.

How long does it take?

Designed to be completed in months of part-time study rather than years. Typically a year or more, depending on your pace.

What if I do not have the Level 7 credits?

Arden University considers applications case by case, and may offer a place on the full MBA programme instead if the top-up route is not open to you.

Do I need an English test?

Not if your previous study was taught in English. If it was not, Arden asks for IELTS 6.5 with no element below 6.0, or an equivalent.
